Karousel - new upgrade for Linn LP12 Featured

Linn has developed a new upgrade to the legendary LP12 turntable. The upgrade is called Karousel.

Linn has continued to develop the almost 50-year-old LP12. And these developments have also largely become available as upgrades for owners of existing models. In addition to usual upgrades such as tonearm and PU, there have also been more internal upgrades, such as baseboard, sub-chassis and power supply.

The latest addition to Upgrades is a new bearing, developed with a new technical design and with new materials. Karousel i substituting Cirkus, a system that was launched in 1993. It will bi standard in all new LP12

According to Linn, a new diamond-like carbon coating will reduce friction between the tip of the spindle and the base. And turn will in turn reduce noise and supply better music reproduction.

But also the New fastening mechanism of the stainless steel housing is claimed to provide increased rigidity and stability.

The carousel will be ready for delivery by March 2020. The UK price is £ 750.
