REVIEW: Huawei FreeBuds 3 infiltrate in iOS territory
Written by Karl Erik Sylthe
Freebuds 3 is Huawei's latest creation of fully wireless earbuds. It has been able to measure forces in the enemy ecosystem.
Apple`s Airpods are a very popular product, in fact so sought after that if Apple had separated out Airpods as its own company, rumors tell it would have been the world's approx. 350 largest company. It is no wonder then that there are eventually some imitations around - some that are direct copies, while others are more obviously inspired. Huawei's FreeBuds 3 belong to the latter category, and we have looked into whether they are struggling to match the original or whether it is actually more like Jimi Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower , a version that many among us believe far surpasses Bob Dylan's original.
And as a true torture test, Freebuds 3 is allowed to run among arch enemies in an iOS ecosystem, along with the Apple iPhone 11 and Apple Watch 4. This is an arena where a variant of Airpods very easily could walk in on autopilot as a kind of default value, at least if completely wireless pods on a rod ise on the shopping list.

So my reference amplifier has not been challenged for some years. That has suddenly come to an end...
