When Arcam launched the previous flagship receiver AVR750, they went very loud to the pitch. They proclaimed that this AV-receiver was the best stereo amplifier Arcam has ever made. We wrote about AVR750 here.
Now they are launching a completely new model, which like many other of the newcomers from Arcam lately operates in class G. They also dropped the stunt they did with AVR750, in dropping the classic volume knob to the front. It is reinstated on AVR850.
On the equipment side has ARCAM this time also adopted 3D, in the form of Dolby Atmos. AVR850 also hold what they call Dirac Live room correction.
Arcam AVR850 being showcased at Cedia in the US, so those who have not booked cinema tickets or other fun stuff of the next weekend might take a trip to Dallas, just to take a closer look at Arcam AVR850.
