Theta Dreadnaught IV - new modular power amplifier from Theta

Written by

Theta launch new modular multi-channel power amplifier. The model replaces Dreadnaught III.

Concurrently with Theta launching two new versions of HighEnd AV preamplifier Casablanca, they launch the successor to the multichannel power amplifier Dreadnaught III. The newcomer is of course named Dreadnaught IV. It is in strong Theta tradition a modular power amplifier, and is available in different configurations with up to 8 channels.

There are three different modules with Bruno Putzeys' N-Core class D available for Dreadnaught IV. A stereo module with rated effect of 225W into 8 ohms, and 400W into 4 ohms. There is also a mono-module with similar specifications as the stereo module, while the third available module is a bridged version, where the effect is 400W into 8 ohms and 600W into 4 ohms.
