Written by

Last summer Marantz launched the NA8005 network player. Now the smaller brother NA6005 is on the pitch.

One and a half year ago we wrote about the stereo set CD6005 and PM6005 from Marantz . Now this duo is joined by a network player in the same series. PM6005 is the little brother to the larger model NA8005 launched last summer.

Marantz NA6005 uses Marantz`s HDAM SA2 circuit, and has the DACs CS4398 from Cirrus Logic. It is also equipped with jitter reduction circuits, and has a double chassis. The player is equipped with a headphone amplifier, with a corresponding output.

NA6005 is also a USB DAC and has USB input at the front panel. On the back we also find optical input and output, and of course analog outputs. There are double WiFi antennas, and in addition the NA6500 has a button for easy WiFi connection to iOS products.

Marantz NA6500 has support for Bluetooth, Airplay, Spotify Connect and DLNA (1.5). Gapless playback by network is supported for the file types WAW, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF and DSD.

Price in Norway is currently unknown to us, but in Europe the supervisor price is 599 Euro.

Marantz is imported to Norway by Acoustics AS .
