Denon and Marantz delivers Auro-3D now!

Written by

Denon and Marantz offer update of their top AV receivers. This update provides access to Dolby Atmos` main competitor - Auro-3D.

In mid-October, we reported that the Denon and Marantz would offer Auro-3D as an upgrade to any of their receivers and processors. And now both Denon and Marantz announced that the update is ready. We are talking about a software update for AV receivers AVR X4100W, AVR X5200W and AVR X7200W from Denon. But also the receiver SR-7009 and processor AV7702 from Marantz.

The upgrade costs 149 Euro and is available now. Denon AVR-X4100W will provide the opportunity to decode a 9.1 track in Auro-3D, while the other mentioned models from Denon and Marantz could also render a 10.1-track, where the so-called "voice of God" channel is present.

Auro-3D is a 3D audio format that is already available on several of 2L`s releases on Pure Audio Blu-ray.
