Marantz launches the compact receiver NR 1605, and the larger receiver SR5009.
SR5009 is the first full-size model that includes both Bluetooth and WiFi. Streaming Properties are otherwise the main focus on the SR5009, which has Airplay and Spotify Connect in place. This new model has increased streaming expertise, and DSD compatibility is among the innovations.
SR5009 is otherwise equipped with Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction, and belongs to the endangered breed who still have analog multichannel inputs.

The compact model NR1605 is also equipped with both Bluetooth and WiFi. And here too we find Airply and Spotify Connect, and also gapless HD Audio and DSD. While analog 7.1 outputs gave way, and pre-out is reduced to front + sub.
With its compact design stands NR1605 perhaps particularly interesting, in part for those who want "outboard surround", ie front channels connected to a stereo amplifier with HT-bypass .
