Esoteric was separated from Teac already in 1987, as a manufacturer of ultimate HighEnd. We know this manufacturer perhaps best of all as a supplier of CD and SACD players in the very highest price range, where they have had little a position as king of the hill. But Esoteric has a rich variety of components within all categories.
This time it is preamplifiers that are in focus, and the two models Esoteric C-02X and C-03XS have upgraded versions with phono stage. They can still be obtained in versions without phono inputs, then at a somewhat lower price.
All these models have the possibility of HT bypass, and have their rightful place in our unique overview of stereo (pre)amplifiers with HT bypass .
