In September last year Classè launched the new Sigma series, and we wrote about it here. It consisted of three models - the AV-processor SSP and the two power amps AMP2 and AMP5, providing 200W into 8 ohms, respectively 2 and 5 channels.
The new model Mono is certainly a monoblock, and has a rated output of 350 Watts into 8 ohms. And also here utilizes Class the ancient checking trick to double the effect in 4 ohms.
Classè expresses that they are very satisfied with the sound of Sigma Mono. Dave Nauber, president of Classè says this: Sigma MONO builds on this innovative platform, pushing the performance to heights that surprised even us - and we’re pretty hard to surprise!
Class Sigma Mono has a bypass capability - or daisy-chain - which allows for the signal to pass on to a second power amplifier for biamping. Or a subwoofer.
