In January this year Cambridge Audio lanced their brand new CX-series , with 6 components. Now thy are launching a very exciting supplement. Cambridge Audio cxu is a universal player that seems to take up the fight with Oppo`s poplære players. Not with Oppo BDP-103, as their Azur 752BD already has done. But they challenge the king himself - Oppo BDP105D. And yes, it was quite conscious that "D" was included.
Because also Cambridge Audio has teamed up with DARBEE when they now are launching what they say is you best universal player ever. DARBEE Visual Presence technology delivers technology that gives increased clarity, and is adjustable. On CXU you can fine-tune each video input.
And video input is another interesting key word here. Cambridge Audio CXU is equipped providing the opportunity to drop AV receiver or processor, connecting directly to power amplifiers. It has included two HDMI inputs, one of which is compatible with the ARC (Audio Return Channel) from TV. And a digital volume control.
It is also focused on the sound here. Analog 7.1 Outputs in addition to dedicated analog stereo outputs. Traditional beliefs delivers Cambridge Audio DACs from Wolfson Audio, and here there are 5 separate WM7840. In addition, the player Cambridge Audio's ATF upsampling.
CXU is also a streamer, with both wired network and WiFI. It can stream via UPnP and DNLA, or via USB and NAS.
