AudioQuest Nighthawk - A cable manufacturer playing new tracks
Written by Karl Erik SyltheThe traditional manufacturer of speaker cables launches the headphones NightHawk. And this is not just new terrain for AudioQuest - the new creation takes care into uncharted territory.

AudioQuest was formed in 1980 and tha main activity has been developing and manufacturing audio cables. But this is not the first time they go new ways - DAC Dragonfly has already seen the light, and is like Nighthawk an unusual construction.
The semi-open design in Nighthawk has adopted a completely new material that AudioQuest calls "Liquid Wood". This is a kind of composite where wood is combined with plant fibers in a heated process where I suspect that not all details of the production process are publicly available.
What AudioQuest claim to achieve with this material is acoustic properties that they believe are superior to what you could get with plastic or natural wood. Meanwhile, this composite material is just as malleable as plastics, combined with that it is also an environmentally friendly material.
Audio Quest has placed great emphasis on ergonomics in Nighthawk. It has resulted in both the design of earmuffs and a flexible suspension. And of course add a company Audio Quest great emphasis on the cables that are designed to Nighthawk.
Audio Quest Nighthawk will be available check in 2015.
