Three new tenors from Musical Fidelity

Written by

This summer Musical Fidelity launched three new integrated amplifiers. It's M3SI, M6si and Nu-Vista 800.

Traditional Musical Fidelity with the headquartere a cautious stone's throw from the Wembly Stadium, launched in the summer three new integrated amplifiers in a pre-stocked assortment. Two of them are developed from existing models, while the third is brand new.

We start with the smallest - M3si, which replaces the M3i. This represents perhaps the most significant upgrade of the two smallest newcomers. In addition to multiple inputs and increased output, there should also be improved construction. M3SI has virtual monobblocks, as each power stage has a separate power supply. The most significant upgrade is however, that M3SI follows the trend of USB DAC on board. 24 bit / 96 kHz asynchronous USB DAC ensures jitter from source is eliminated. The output power is increased to 90 watts into 8 ohms, and capacitance is doubled.

Big brother M6si also holds asynchronous USB DAC, but unlike for M3SI the predecessor to M6si also had USB DAC. However, there has been internal improvements in M6si to its predecessor M6i. The effect of M6si's 2x200 watts into 8 ohms.

The top model of the three newcomers is undoubtedly Nu-Vista 800. A brand new amp, yet with many proud predecessors with Nu-Vista tubes in construction. Nu-Vista 800 enters as the new flagship of Musical Fidelity's range of integrated amplifiers, and is a HighEnd amplifier at 8,000 UKP. This amp is at 2x330 watts into 8 ohms roads close to the 40kg.

All three models included Musical Fidelity`s tradition of having HT-bypass, and has thus been granted entry into our official list of amps with HT bypass .

Norwegian idistributor is Audiocompaniet .
