Ein Deuches Requiem was composed by Johannes Brahms in 1866, while the soprano solo was added in 1968. It has seven movements, and is the longest of all the works of Brahms wrote. Even though the requiem was written for his mother who died in 1865, there are many who believe that the friend Robert Schumann's death affect the mood.

Ein Deutsches Requiem is performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Antoni Wit, and the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir.

Blu-Ray Audio release has a track in 5.0 DTS HD MA for 24 bit / 96kHz and stereo tracks in 2.0 PCM.
