PMA-50 - new compact amplifier from Denon
Written by Karl Erik SyltheDenon launch a new integrated amplifier that takes up the fight with NAD D3020. It has a competence list that are confusingly similar.

It is very striking how closely Denon have added up to the interesting integrated amplifier D3020 from NAD, which we reviewed last winter . The compact and slightly elegant design is ment to be placed both standing and lying, although in slightly greater extent than in NAD D3020 is the horizontal that is "plan A".
Denon's new amplifier is a compact unit that can be much more than a traditional integrated amplifier. There are two optical and an RCA digital inputs. In addition, we find a Asynchronous USB input that also tackles DSD files. Last mentioned in resolution 2.8 or 5.6MHz, while PCM can be in up to 24bit / 192kHz.
Bluetooth is also present It includes aptX and NFC, the latter enables easy communication with portable devices. On the analog side there is a single set of RCA inputs. Pre-out for sub is noted, in addition to the speaker terminals. On the front panel, we also find a dedicated headphone output.
Denon PMA-50 has a rated output of 2x50 watts into 4 ohms, and expected to be on the market over the New Year. We do not know the price in Norway yet, but foreign prices suggest that we are near or just above the rate of NAD D3020.
Importer in Norway is Hi-Fi klubben
