KKV release new CD by Ellen Sofie Hovland, titled Skandinavisk Sjel (Scandinavian Soul).
Skandinavisk Sjel is Ellen Sofie Hovland`s second album, after vær her for meg (be here for me) was published on KKV in 2012. Her debut album has a subtle mix of low-key music with strong, unvarnished, yet lyrical texts. Not least on the track det er ikke sant (it is not true) , as we mentioned in the review of the anniversary album 40 years` Credibility .
On Skandinavisk Sjel she brings Morten Quenild on keyboards and Morten Barrikmo on clarinet and bass clarinet. The main character of vær her for meg would probably be found also at Skandinavisk Sjel.
Scandinavian Soul recorded in Morten Quenild studio and mixed by Martin Abrahamsen. Manufacturer's Erik Hillestad. The disc is released today, 11/07/2014.
