Model A - New amplifier from Audial

Written by

The Serbian manufacturer Audial has so far only produced DACs. Now they take a further step in the signal chain.

Read more:

Previously existing models from this manufacturer in Belgrade are Model S and Model S USB, and I leave to the reader to determine which of these DACs that have USB. They also have a bunch of expired DAC models in their portfolio, but now the focus is entirely new. Model A is an integrated amplifier, where the concept of minimalism gets a new dimension.

All parameters of the Model A stress that here is  minimalism. Both with regard to avoiding excessive cost driving elements, but also in terms of creating the shortest and cleanest possible signal path. How minimalistic the amplifier should be, you are to decide upon booking.

If we start with inputs, you can choose between one or two, but where manufacturers recommend one, to provide the cleanest possible signal path. They also have placed any input selector at the rear - this also in order to minimize the signal path. You can also choose impedance on inputs, since the volume control is designed with low-impedance shunt potentiometer.

You also have the option to order the Model A as a pure power amp. The effect is incidentally also eligible, where the options are 25 and 50W. It is only the power supply that separates these two variants, and the price is the same for both.

It is possible to select an additional lavish edition, with "premium parts". These consist of the in- and output connectors in pure copper, uninsulated internal wiring and cermet potentiometer.

The Model A is a really compact amp, with the dimensions 352x255x75mm. And finally - last parameter in minimalism, the distribution part. All sales are direct from factory. Mies van der Rohe would have smiled in his grave, had he known all this.

Prices from 870 euro and up including shipping, depending on the specifications and shipping method.
