Wireless Collection by Definitive Technology
Written by Karl Erik SyltheThe American speaker manufacturer Definitive Technology throw themselves on the wireless multi-room trend. Thus they join the battle against among others Sonos and Denon Heos. They call series for Wireless Collection.
Definitive Technology is well known on the market as a solid speaker manufacturer. The fact that they now also focus on wireless systems is perhaps new, but not very surprising. The new series is based on an Open Source software system called Play-Fi, and DTS is a major player behind this one. You can read more about Play-Fi here.

We take a look at the components of Wireless Collection, starting with ADAPT. This is a bridge between the mainstream system and the wireless multiroom system. Furthermore, W Amp, which is a combined streamer and amplifier for connecting to external HiFi speakers.

W7 the manufacturer call Audiophile-Grade Wireless Speaker, and then we trust the words and assume that it sounds good. A complete receiver incl. Amplifier and speaker. Top model W9 is the flagship of the series.

W-studio is a Sound Bar, especially intended for use with televisions. The traditional soundbar is here combined with a compact subwoofer.
