All of us who have had audiophile tendencies during a generation or two- have a relationship to Luxman. They have always represented electronics with both great sound and an elegant and exclusive design. This still applies for the entire range from this Japanese manufacturer.
Luxman D-06u
The first of the three new products launched by Luxman`s 90th year is the CD / SACD - player D - 06u, an apparently further development of the player D - 06 which has a price of NOK 73.995, -. Like the D-06 also the D-06u utilizes Luxman`s proprietary LxDTM transport mechanism.
The DAC in D-06u is a Burr-Brown PCM1792A, a DAC that supports both PCM up to 32bit / 384kHz and DSD until 5.64mHz via USB. In addition to the DAC-chip from Burr-Brown there is a digital signal processor from Texas Instruments with the lyrical name TAS3152 who also works in 32 bit.
In addition to the digital inputs there is a full set of digital outputs, and both RCA - and fully balanced XLR - outputs.

Luxman C-700U
Preamplifier C-700U has the fourth generation of Luxman's proprietary ODNF. It stands for Only Distortion Negative Feedback, a feedback technology that limits the feedback to distortion components in the signal. The volume control is taken from the top model C - 900u, and consists of the attenuator circuit LECUA 1000.
As with the D-06u, the contents of the display will be zoomed using the remote control.
C-700U features 5 standard RCA inputs and two XLR. In addition there is a set of tape input and output, and HT bypass that Luxman have chosen to call Ext Pre In. We otherwise find two sets of balanced outputs, and two sets of RCA.

Luxman M-700U.
The power amp M-700U delivers 2x120 watts into 8 ohms, and 2x210 watts into 4 ohms. It is bridgeable to 420 watts into 8 ohms in mono.
Also on this power amplifier they have used version 4.0 of ODNF, which Luxman deem necessary in order to provide distortion-free sound with high power. M - 700U has otherwise a power supply that delivers 550va.
M-700U has two backlit VU-meters, which contributes to a classic, slightly retro inspired design.
