Bowers & Wilkins with upgraded CM series S2.
Written by Karl Erik SyltheB&W introduce an upgraded generation S2 to their CM series.

B&W is currently on a roll with upgrades of their series. Last spring we reported about a new S2 for the definite volume series 600, and now the turn has progressed to the next person in the hierarchy. CM series started with CM1 almost ten years ago, and was reviewed by us back in 2006. It has subsequently been filled in with additional larger models, both brother CM5 bookshelf speakers, and a few floor models as well as center speakers.

Now the time is ripe for a new generation - S2. Visually, there is no revolution to track, but that is probably a wise move. For CM-Series has been the series with the purest and simplest designed simultaneously of them all, and has had their followers because of this.

There are still a few of the new models that stand out, also in design. The new top model among tripod speakers, CM6 - S2 has been given a Nautilus tweeter as a separate item on the top, and the same goes for the main floor speaker. These are simultaneously models that obvious moingle in the HighEnd segmentet, with price tags respectively 15,696 - and 29,996, - (NOK).

Technically there are well known strokes from B&W here, with Kevlar FST midrange, B & W's distinctive bass port and Decoupled Double Dome tweeters.
The speakers in the CM series comes with finish in three different variants; Black Gloss, Rosewood and Satin White.

The new series is already ready for delivery by the Norwegian distributor Hi-FI klubben.
