L82 Classic - new retro speaker from JBL Featured
Written by Karl Erik SyltheJBL is following up on the success of the L100 Classic retro speaker that was launched last year. The newcomer L82 Classic has the same design concept, but is a significantly more compact design.
The first meeting with the JBL L100 Classic was at the fair Menn & Ting 2019 (Men & Things) in Larvik last spring. Then it was Per Magh who provided the demo of these exciting speakers, and they made a promising first impression. In retrospect, they have been shown both in Munich and at last year's Horten Fair.
JBL L82 Classic
Obviously JBL must have received so much positive feedback and good sales with the L100 Classic that they are launching a new model according to the same concept. This time there is a far more compact speaker, and a two-way construction.
Where the L100 Classic holds a 5-inch midrange and a 12-inch bass, JBL has replaced these with an 8-inch midrange and bass. The speaker has a bass reflex construction, with the bass port in the front.
The L82 Classic has a similarly iconic front cover as the Big Brother, available in three different colors. And a specially designed stand named JS-80 further helps to give the L82 a perfect 70s identity.
We do not know the price in Norway yet, but the US price is set to 2.500 USD
