Evolution 50CD - new CD player from Creek.

Creek Audio introduces new DAC / CD drive. The name is Evolution 50CD.

The slim design is matched to the freshly introdused integrated amplifier Evolution 50A, and is available with front in black or silver finish. Creek emphasizes Soft-touch buttons, which are backlit and will provide a comfortable contact.

Creek believes that the declining demand for CD players coincides with an increasing demand for DACs, and are profiling this product in accordance with the situation. This means that they name it as a high-end DAC with integrated CD drive. This, combined with the fact that they, like many other manufacturers integrate digital inputs, which means that the product can also be used as a DAC for other sources. Not least important is when the asynchronous DAC, in addition to two optical and two coaxial digital inputs.

Regarding outputs there are one optical and one coaxial on the digital side, while you can choose from two balanced- and unbalanced analog outputs.

Evolution 50CD is the first product from Creek Audio which uses Wolfson's WM8742 24/192-DACs.
