Meridian claim that their 565 was the world's first digital home theater processor, and we should not deny it. G65 launched 20 years later, and positions itself as Meridian`s second in command category, after the flagship 861

Meridian believe in separating HDMI signals from analog signals at this level. Therefore, you will find no HDMI inputs in G65. However, there is an entry called MD1 in a proprietary format Meredian called MMHR. You can acquire digital HDMI signals where the video portion is gearshift from Meridian? s own HDMI controller,  HD621.

There are sufficiant analog inputs. 6 stereo and 1 set of multi-channel inputs. Should you need an extra set of 5.1 analog inputs, three of the stereo inputs may be reconfigured. A smart and flexible solution that we have seen also in brands pre-pros. Whitch we haven`t with the ability to configure three of the digital coax inputs to a 5.1 digital input. This is a Meridian-specialty that was introduced about 10 years ago before HDMI became standard.

Meridian G65 replaces the G68 and get a suggested retail price of 54.000, - in Norway. Distributor is MDS Norway AS.
