Onkyo scheduling Atmos upgrade + Spotify Connect

Skrevet av

Onkyo today sending out a press release setting out the firmware update that allows for Dolby Atmos to 29/09/2014.

It is the mid-range receivers Onkyo TX-NR636 , TX-NR737 and TX-NR838 which will benefit from this upgrade on September 29. We have already set the mark in the calendar, and hope that we have music or movie with Atmos available that day.

It is also clear that the mid range receivers from Onkyo will be first out with Atmos, as the Toppreceiverne TX-NR1030 and TX-NR3030 in the same press release are announced to be ready for shipping in mid-October.

Onkyo has also announced a software update that allows for Spotify Connect in the same receivers, but also including the smaller sister TX-Nr535. Spotify is allready integrated in these recevers, but not Spotify Connect. It is not stated whether this comes in the same softwareupdate, or if it is earlier. Date stated for September but no exact date.
